Recital and Costumes

RECITAL

Each year The Dancer's Warehouse will hold an  end of the year show for all of it's students in June. Exact dates will be posted by the end of November. We encourage all of our students to participate but do not require participation, with the exception of the Competition Team Dancers who are required to perform. Each 1 hour class will have one routine in the show and each competition dance team may have up to 2 numbers in the show. Private and semi-private students will pick 1 routine of their choice to perform.

Please notify us in writing if your student will not be performing in the end of the year show before the Winter Break. There is a non-refundable recital fee per student of $50.00 due by Dec. 22nd. Included with this fee will be 5 tickets to the performance, a program book, snacks and water will be provided for every student back stage, and each student will receive a special memento from the show. If it is necessary to have more then one performance, additional tickets will be given for the second show if the student is required to perform in both shows.

COSTUME POLICY

*  Even though all attempts will be made to keep the price of costumes as low as possible, costumes can run anywhere from $45-$75 per costume for a non-competition student and from $50-$100 for a competition student. Some routines may not require a costume to be purchased from a catalog in which case the teacher will inform you what online discount dance supply shop you should use to purchase the outfit. It is then your responsibility to make sure you order the outfit and it is in on time for the show.

*  A non-refundable deposit of $30 per costume must be paid by Jan. 10, 2008. The remaining balance will be due Feb. 16, 2008. Costume payments should be made by cash or check made payable to The Dancer's Warehouse.

*  Once costumes have been received, size adjustments may be required. The adjustments are the responsibility of the parent.

*  Shoes, tights, and accessory requirements will be posted on the bulletin board by each teacher after costumes are received. Decisions regarding costumes are the sole discretion of the teacher and not the parent or student.
